Monica Yawo is a Nigerian 2nd Assistant Camera with feature and limited series credits across Nollywood's most ambitious productions of the last three years; from the Netflix limited series Shanty Town to the historical epic Lisabi: The Uprising. Also worked in Glo and Hypo commercials along with musical videos.
Trained on RED, ARRI Alexa Mini and Sony Venice. Comfortable on jib, Steadicam handoff, wireless follow-focus, and DIT-adjacent media management. Calm in chaos, fast on the slate, and respected by 1st ACs and DPs across Lagos and Abuja.
My job lives in the small things: a slate that snaps clean, focus marks that hold, cards that never get crossed, a cart you can find a battery on at 3 a.m.
